While many people today equate stewardship to money management or tithing in the church, it's important that we teach children that stewardship requires so much more. It's about investing our time wisely. It's about using our gifts and talents for God's glory. It's about putting others first and having the heart of a servant. It's about taking care of God's green earth. It's about sacrificing our wants for our needs. The list could go on.

Consider how you can better display acts of stewardship in your own life. As you lead, your children will follow. Also, set aside time to talk to your children about stewardship.
